The Evidence Based Practice Center’s goal is to distribute research-based information on mental health treatment to stakeholders in Maryland’s Public Behavioral Health System (PBHS), and to promote adoption and implementation of those practices through ongoing training and consultation. Maryland PBHS providers are welcome to attend.

For non-Maryland-based provider agency staff, please contact your local state agency for training opportunities. Ineligible providers will be removed from the Learning Management System.

This training serves as an advanced or next-steps training on how to make meaningful use of the DLA-20 assessment in guiding treatment planning with consumers. (Time: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm) *Please note – the is NOT a DLA-20 training and CANNOT be taken as a substitute for the DLA-20 training.

    For behavioral health professionals who are not trained clinicians, translating clinical jargon into real-usable language fosters better engagement with consumers and supports consumers in advocating for their needs. Person-Centered language is part of our efforts to reduce the impact of different types of stigma on consumers and their access to services and supports. (From 9:30 am - 12:30 pm) *Please note – Due to this content being a required area of expertise for trained clinicians (LCPCs, LCSWs, PhDs etc.) CEUs are not available for this training. We will provide Certificates of Attendance (COAs) for all participants.
