Principles of Person-Centered Care Planning (PCCP) applied to using the Managed Intervention Plan (MIP). When participants in Maryland’s Public Behavioral Health System Residential Rehabilitation Program services are at risk of losing their placement, policy calls for the development of a Managed Intervention Plan. The intent of developing this intervention plan is to provide a coaching experience for consumers so that they can be successful in their time with our programs, instead of having to be discharged for rule violations/code of conduct. This training will cover how to engage with consumers to explore with what the alternatives are, how they can best help, and what strategies need to be implemented in order to retain the individual in services. The result of this engaging process should be a comprehensive and actionable written plan to prevent discharge from services. (Training Time: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

For each topic we will use a sample person-centered assessment to develop an Interpretive Summary and a Treatment Plan focusing on one category or barriers or needs. These highly interactive webinars activities will blend group work, independent work, processing and strategizing working with frequently encountered situations and symptoms.

How might areas of strengths might be leveraged to make progress? This training serves as an advanced or next-steps training on how to make meaningful use of the DLA-20 assessment in guiding treatment planning with consumers.
