How do I create an account?

Select "Create an Account" in the upper right-hand corner when you are ready to register for your first training event.
Complete the "Create Account Form" to assign a log in password and create your user profile.

Be sure to rank your topics, or categories, of interest.

How do I change/reset my password?

To change/reset a password, click the following link:  https://umb.elevate.gocadmium.com/password/forgot 

You will receive an email from EBPCTraining@som.umaryland.edu that will allow you to reset your password. If you do not receive the email within a few minutes check your spam or junk folder.

How do I access a live webinar?

On the day of your training:

  1. Log in to your UMB Evidence-Based Practice Center Learning Management System, or click the link in your registration or reminder emails, using the same Username and Password used to register for the training.
  2. Navigate to "My Dashboard" to access upcoming training events.
  3. Click on the title of the training you would like to access.
  4. Select the "Contents" tab, accept the acknowledgement statement and click on the webinar component.
  5. When the early log in period opens, usually 15 minutes before the event, you will be prompted to "Enter Live Event In Progress".
    If you log in before the early log in period, you will see a message stating "Live event not started". If you see this message, refresh your browser within 15 minutes of the webinar start time.


NOTE: Test your internet connection here before logging in to the training event. Join the "Test Meeting" to confirm your audio and video settings.

Will I have access to recordings of webinars I attended?

We do not record our webinars. All training sessions are live events as we encourage interaction between the trainers and the participants. A live platform also provides a more personalized experience. Most trainers will provide helpful handouts and resources after the event.

Do I qualify to participate in the EBPC training events?

EBPC Training Eligibility:

  • Must work/practice in the Maryland Public Behavioral Health System.

Registration and Cancellation FAQs

How do I register for a training event?

YOU MUST CREATE AN ACCOUNT AND LOG IN TO REGISTER FOR AVAILABLE TRAINING SESSIONS
Once an account has been created, you will be able to register for any available training event.

Locate the training session you would like to attend and simply click the yellow "Register (FREE!)" button. You will receive an email from EBPCTraining@som.umaryland.edu confirming your registration.

If a training has reached the maximum registration limit, can I add my name to a waiting list?

Yes. If a training has reached the maximum registration limit a box will appear in the upper right-hand corner. You will receive a notice stating the "Registration is Closed. Maximum Number of Registrants reached." 

Click the "Join Waiting List" button. When selected, you will receive a confirmation email. You can remove yourself from the list at any time. 

If an opening becomes available, you will receive a Waiting List Notification email. You will then be able to access the training registration again. Please note: Registrations from the waiting list are on a first come, first served basis.

How do I cancel a registration if my schedule changes?

If you registered for a training event and you are no longer able to attend, we ask that you send us an email at EBPC@som.umaryland.edu to cancel your registration. Some of our trainings fill up quickly and your cancellation will allow someone else to attend in your place.

Training Process

How do I access the Webinar link?

When you register for a training, the confirmation email, and subsequent reminder emails, will contain a link to the event in Elevate. This link will also give you access to the webinar.

  • First Read and Accept the Acknowledgement statement (if the terms are accurate). This step can be done anytime before the training session.
  • The Webinar section will unlock. This is were you will gain access to the webinar.

Technical FAQs

I am having trouble streaming the audio through my computer. What do I do?

  1. Make sure your speakers are not muted or turned off.
  2. Refresh your web browser.
  3. Use a different browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari).
  4. As a last resort, stay logged in on your computer to view the webinar content and use the dial-in numbers provided for audio only. NOTE: You must be able to view the slides to receive credit for your training.

Other technical considerations to optimize your training experience...

  1. Use a PC or Mac with an updated internet browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) for the best experience.
  2. Disable pop-up blockers.
  3. A wired connection provides the most consistent signal and bandwidth. Use a wired connection when possible.
